Module Summary

Inclusive youth leadership provides students with and without intellectual disabilities leading roles as they work to lead advocacy, awareness, inclusion and other Special Olympics activities. School students work with adults in the school to create a socially inclusive environment throughout the school year.
This means that a school seeking to become a Unified Champion School is expected to establish a Unified Club, a club that brings students with and without intellectual disabilities together. The goal of this club is to be a platform towards promoting acceptance, socially inclusive friendships and student leadership within the school under the supervision of a teacher. This club is expected to meet at least once a month.
